A Look at the Bruins' Pitching Staff

Returning Pitchers

The Bruins will return a number of experienced pitchers in 2024, including Max Rajcic, Nate Leibold, and Sean Mullen. Rajcic is a sophomore who led the team in strikeouts last season, while Leibold is a freshman who showed flashes of brilliance in his first year on campus. Mullen is a sophomore who has been a reliable starter for the Bruins the past two seasons.

Incoming Pitchers

UCLA will also welcome a number of talented pitchers in the 2024 recruiting class. The most highly touted recruit is Charles Harrison, a freshman from Santa Monica, California. Harrison is a right-handed pitcher who has a fastball that has been clocked at 95 mph. He is also a very good athlete who could also see time as a position player.

Outlook

The Bruins' pitching staff should be one of the best in the Pac-12 in 2024. Rajcic, Leibold, and Mullen are all proven performers, and Harrison has the potential to be a star. If the Bruins can get solid production from their bullpen, they should be in contention for a conference title.
