Two people are dead after a fiery multi-vehicle crash caused multiple explosions late Tuesday and shut down Highway 401 in both directions near Pickering, Ont.
The westbound lanes of the highway were closed near Brock Road, and it was unclear when they would reopen.

Several other people were injured, but their conditions were not immediately known.
